The 2012 Punkin Chunkin event is NOT canceled!! We will be delayed by one day, Friday will be a set up day for the event to recover from Sandy but Saturday and Sunday are still planned to go on without delay.
Vendors will be setting up Friday and we will have live music on the stage Friday afternoon if you wish to come out and watch the teams set up there will be no charge.
Advanced Ticket holders for Friday will be honored on either Saturday or Sunday.

Tailgate Parking is no longer First Come, First Served.

If you are looking to get into the VIP tailgate section, here is where you purchase your parking pass. If you buy online and access the field you will be directed to this parking section. You may also purchase once you arrive until they run out. Advance purchase makes sure you have a spot whenever you arrive. This is the only section where parking is in addition to your access fee.

We apologize to those that did not make it, but the registration process is now closed. The pits are full for the 2012 event. However, you may add yourself to the waiting list so that if a team should cancel and you are the first in the list, the system will inform you that a ticket/pit is available to you. You can sign up here.
Team Registration for new teams starts 9am June 1st

That's right, 9am we open the application process for new teams. The system will go offline 10 pm tonight May 31st and will be scrubbed of any new teams attempting to enter early. The system will go online 9am tomorrow June 1st and will remain open until we receive the last application for an open spot. Once filled the system automatically closes and will not allow any additional entries.
Once you apply you will be directed to paypal for payment, once completed you will go back to a validation screen where you can print your confirmation ticket from the eventbrite site.

In the spirit of our ongoing task of helping the community, World Championship Punkin Chunkin will be accepting canned good donations for food banks in our area. If you bring a canned food item to the gate at the Chunk, we'll make sure that it gets to the people that need it the most.

Sadly, in 2011 the WCPCA experienced a devastating theft. Over $30,000 worth of materials was stolen in the middle of the night and we're asking for your help.
Proceeds from Punkin Chunkin benefit a number of youth scholarship funds and charity organizations - losing these materials takes away from the kids. They are the reason we chunk.

The American Bus Association selected Punkin Chunkin and two other Delaware events (Sea Witch Halloween and Fiddlers Festival) from a pool of more than 600 nominations. The honor acknowledges our positive impact on the local economy through an event that brings nearly 100,000 people to rural Delaware each fall.
