Chunkin' in Belgium

This note was received from Belgium lately and we thought you might be interested to see how they do it on the other side of the pond. Here's what the sender had to say:

"Excuse-me I write just a little bit English , I send you this message from Belgium. We have organise a "pompoenschieten" (punkin chunkin) and the record was 600 feet. The top picture was our catapult and the other was the trebuchet of my friend. He was the winner, while I was the second with 500 feet. We live in Ypres (center of the battlefield of World War I.)"
